Getting Started

Once you have Reitti running, follow these steps to begin tracking and analyzing your location data:

1. Change Default Password

For security, it’s recommended to change the default admin password immediately after installation:

1. Log in with the default credentials: admin:admin
2. Navigate to Settings > User Management
3. Update your password to something secure
4. Save the changes

2. Import Your Location Data

You have several options to get your location data into Reitti:

Option A: Upload Files

Visit the Settings > Import Data to upload:

• GPX files from GPS devices or fitness apps
• GeoJSON files with location data
• Google Timeline exports from Google Takeout

Option B: Set Up Live Integrations

Configure real-time location tracking at Settings > Integrations:

• OwnTracks: For continuous location tracking from mobile devices
• GPSLogger: Alternative mobile app integration
• API endpoints: For custom data sources

3. Explore Your Data

Once data is imported, you can:

• View your timeline and significant places on the main map
• Analyze movement patterns and statistics
• Browse location-based photos (if Immich is configured)
• Set up multiple users if needed and display them on one map
